Logos Somatic Cell Staining Solution

The Somatic Cell Staining Solution is used to count somatic cells in raw milk samples. The solution contains Propidium Iodide (PI) and a detergent to permeabilize and stain cells. PI has excitation and emission wavelengths of 533 nm and 617 nm when bound to nucleic acids resulting in a fluorescent signal capable of accurately identifying somatic cells using LUNA™ automated cell counters.
